# What is MeDevIS?

[MeDevIS (Priority Medical Devices Information System)](https://medevis.test.evidenceprime.com/) is an open-access electronic database of medical devices. WHO developed it as part of a mandate of Member States ([WHA60.29](https://apps.who.int/iris/bitstream/handle/10665/22609/A60_R29-en.pdf?sequence=1&isAllowed=y)*).

MeDeVIS compiles the devices that appear in [WHO lists of Priority Medical Devices (PMD)](https://who.int/activities/prioritizing-medical-devices) and other related products.
